About.

Try to Behave makes shirts that work on two levels. To most people, they're simply nice shirts: a well-set word, a bit of handwriting, a line drawing. To the people who know, they say a little more.

We have a few rules. Nothing graphic, ever. No real people and no borrowed symbols. Consent is always the point of the joke, never the target. And every design has to pass the stranger test: it should look good in a coffee queue.

Our favorite thing to make is pairs, two shirts that answer each other.

Shirts and mugs are printed to order and shipped by our partner Threadless. Questions, ideas or a line you'd like to see on a shirt? Write to hello@trytobehave.com.
